AgroParisTech has forged multiple alliances with partners in its institutional environment. The establishment is thus a founding member of ParisTech, of Agreenium, which brings together at the national level the main players in research and higher education in life and environmental sciences and technologies, and of the University of Paris Saclay, including the goal is to become one of the largest campuses of excellence in Europe.

AgroParisTech is organized into 5 training and research departments:

According to the international ranking of universities by QS World University Ranking 2019, AgroParisTech is ranked ^1st French institution, ^2nd in Europe and ^4th in the world in the "Agriculture and Forest Sciences" category.
