Action for the Promotion of Local Initiatives (APIL)

After several meetings of exchanges and reflections, followed by case studies in certain villages of the regions mentioned, an organization was born with the aim of mobilizing all the skills existing in the zone concerned by the organization, for the make available to the rural world. The NGO "Action for the promotion of Local Initiatives" (APIL) was therefore born in 1998 with the essential ambition of supporting the rural world of Burkina Faso in their quest for well-being. The action of the NGO APIL in the field has earned its recognition by the Burkinabè authorities. It was recognized in May 2004 as a development NGO by the Ministry of Economy and Development and as a public utility NGO by the Burkinabè government in 2013. The NGO APIL has also received several honorary decorations (knight of the Order of Merit in 2006, Officer of the Order of Merit in 2012, medal with environment clasp in 2018) for his numerous investments in the service of social, solidarity, economic and endogenous development. A special Burkinabé quality prize was also awarded to it in 2018. With its head office based in Ouagadougou, the NGO APIL has administrative offices in these other areas of intervention, which are the Central Plateau and the Center North.
