Elevages Sans Frontières (ESF)

A French association for international solidarity, Elevages sans frontières is mobilizing for food security and the autonomy of farming families. The association accompanies and trains vulnerable breeders as a priority. The development of livestock farming enables these families to enrich their diet, particularly that of their children, to generate regular income, to diversify their activities and to mitigate the impact of economic and climatic risks. It supports vulnerable families in strengthening and developing their business by providing animals and small equipment, training and technical support. The association also supports the economic development of livestock products (milk, eggs, meat, etc.). Its intervention aims to organize short circuits and promote local products so that breeders generate income and live with dignity from their work. Faced with climate challenges, Elevages sans frontières and its implementation partners encourage agriculture-livestock integration. This association is at the heart of agroecological practices and agricultural transitions necessary for the sustainability of food systems.
